It is official the zombie apocalypse is upon us. People have
actually started eating each other. There have been a string of news stories
involving not only cannibalism, but actions that have only been linked to
horror movies. I know that zombies have become very popular recently with
Hollywood putting out zombie related movies both serious and comedy based.
There is also a cult following for the new series “The Walking Dead” on the AMC
channel. In the past couple of years some towns and cities throughout the
nation have been hosting zombie walks. There are even zombie related races
where racers have to get through an optical course while being chased by
zombies. In any event, for whatever the reason is, zombies are really hot right
now and this will certainly provide people with some great Halloween Costume Ideas.
The news started the talk of a zombie apocalypse when the
story broke about a man in Miami eating the face off of a homeless man. In
Canada police are searching for a suspect who has been mailing severed body
parts all over the country. A man in Maryland admitted to killing his roommate
and eating his heart and part of his brain. A man in New Jersey tore open his
own stomach and threw parts of his intestines at the police. This all sounds
like things that you might see in a bad horror movie, but the scary thing is
that they are all true stories. I don’t know what is going on in the world
these days, but I know one thing, I’m going to rent “Zombie Land” again and pay
better attention to the rules of survival.
